Technology is increasingly intertwining itself with the daily lives of society in an attempt to add efficiency and convenience to everyday tasks that a person takes on. Our group's aim was to take something that is commonly used and combine it with a variety of features so that a lot of what a person needs can be found in one convenient place. This led us to the Smart Mirror idea, where a very commonly used household object like a mirror can be modified to add a personalized experience to an individual’s daily routine. Our goal is to create a product that fulfills one’s need of getting ready while simultaneously receiving the daily news, weather, time and other useful information. The ability to gather this information during one’s morning preparation will result in a more efficient daily life.
