The goal of the Smart Checkup Assistant is to help doctors and nurses expedite routine patient data collection at the start of an appointment by combining three basic devices into a single unit so that doctors can focus on helping the patient. Our product includes a pulse oximeter, a blood pressure sensor, and a temperature sensor into one handy package. In addition, the device will feature a 7” touchscreen display to easily view recent measurements and will automatically upload data to a database which can be accessed on a doctor or patient smartphone. Patients will be required to create an account using facial recognition to access their personal data and all transferred data will be encrypted. We will have our three sensors connected to an Arduino UNO with the temperature and pulse oximeter connected through an I 2C connection while the blood pressure sensor uses a normal analog connection, the Arduino then connects to a Raspberry Pi through a USB connection. The Raspberry Pi connects to the touch screen and a wall power connection will provide power to the whole system.
