Fire Detecting Station

Addressing the pressing challenge of climate change is paramount in today's world, marked by numerous fatalities and substantial property damage. Our solution specifically tackles this issue through the Fire Detecting Station, a device designed to identify potential forest fires. This device provides detection of fire in the early stage by analyzing the temperature, humidity, wind speed, and images by using YOLO v8, an image processing algorithm to do visual detection of the smoke caused by the fire. Utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) platform Thingsboard, the system promptly alerts authorities about the potential fire's location, facilitating timely intervention to prevent escalation. This innovation draws inspiration from the 2023 Canadian wildfires and the Maui fire in Hawaii. The ultimate objective is to safeguard lives and property while enabling firefighters to manage and contain fires more intelligently and safely.
